Night Shifts, Mom Life, and My Attempt to Make Money Online
Hi, my name is Kirstin I’m a night-shift momma, professional sleep-deprived human, and proud owner of approximately 47 unfinished cups of coffee.
I’m starting this blog because I’m trying to build a life where I can make a living online and spend more time at home with my son. That’s the dream. Not becoming a millionaire overnight, moving into a mansion, or pretending I have everything figured out. I just want more freedom, more time with my little boy, and maybe a sleep schedule that doesn’t make my body wonder what time zone it lives in.
I’m going to be brutally honest here: I have no magic formula. I’m learning as I go, trying different ways to earn money online, making mistakes, and occasionally asking myself, “What on earth am I doing?” But I know why I’m doing it.
I don’t want to miss the little moments because I’m always working, exhausted, or trying to recover from another night shift. My son is my biggest reason for starting this journey. I want to be present for the ordinary days—the cuddles, the laughs, the messes, and even the moments when he asks for a snack five seconds after acting like he wasn’t hungry.
This blog will be my honest record of trying to make it happen. I’ll share what I try, what works, what absolutely does not work, and all the awkward lessons in between. There will be no pretending that success happened overnight. If something fails, I’ll say it. If I embarrass myself, you’ll probably hear about that too.
Maybe you’re also a tired momma looking for a different way to support your family. Maybe you’re trying to build something of your own but don’t know where to begin. Or maybe you just enjoy watching someone figure things out in real time. Either way, you’re welcome here.
I’m not starting because I have all the answers. I’m starting because I have a reason that matters enough to try.
So here’s to late nights, big dreams, questionable amounts of caffeine, and taking the first step before I feel ready.
Let’s see where this goes.
